Denver Kickers Oktoberfest

This policy explains how Denver Kickers Sports Club handles information connected with the Denver Kickers Oktoberfest website and its internal Google services integrations.

Who we are

Denver Kickers Sports Club operates the Denver Kickers Oktoberfest website at oktoberfest.denverkickers.com. The site provides event information, volunteer opportunities, registration links, and ways to contact the Oktoberfest team.

Information you provide

If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic, subject, and message you submit so our team can respond. If you participate in an attendee survey or prize drawing, the information requested by that process is used for the purposes described at the point of collection and in the applicable rules. Registration, volunteer, and other third-party services linked from this site operate under their own privacy practices.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting and measurement services may process technical and usage information such as your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, visit timing, and interactions with site features and outbound links. Server logs may also record information needed for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.

Google Analytics and measurement

We use Google Analytics, deployed through Google Site Kit, to understand aggregate website traffic and interactions. This can include page views, sessions, engagement, general outbound-link activity, and specific actions such as preregistration, volunteer, directions, contact, and survey interactions. Google may use cookies or similar measurement technologies to provide these services. Analytics reports available to Denver Kickers do not expose a visitor’s full IP address.

Google OAuth and Google API access

Google OAuth is used to authorize designated Denver Kickers administrators or technical operators. It is not a public account or sign-in service for Oktoberfest attendees. Through official Google APIs, authorized operators may access information belonging to Denver Kickers’ own Google Analytics and Google Ads accounts for reporting, planning, maintenance, and approved account administration.

Google Ads API data

Google Ads API access may include Denver Kickers campaign settings and status, performance metrics, keywords, search terms made available by Google, negative keywords, budgets, advertising assets, and conversion information. This access is used for Denver Kickers’ own advertising analysis and administration. The internal tool is not offered to third-party clients or to the public.

OAuth credentials and tokens

OAuth tokens, API credentials, and developer credentials are stored in access-restricted systems and are not placed in public website content. They are used to authenticate authorized internal tools to Google services and are retained only while needed for that access. Access can be revoked through the relevant Google account or service settings.

How information is shared

Denver Kickers does not sell Google user data or personal information collected through this site. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information may be processed by service providers that support website hosting, email delivery, security, analytics, advertising administration, registration, or volunteer coordination. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the organization, the site, or its users.

Data retention and security

Google Analytics event and user data retention is currently configured for 14 months. Other information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for event operations, communication, security, recordkeeping, or legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including restricted credential storage and limited administrative access. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Cookies and measurement technologies

The site and its service providers may use cookies or comparable technologies for basic site operation, security, preferences, and audience measurement. Third-party destinations reached through links on this site may set their own cookies.

Your choices

You can limit cookies through your browser settings and use Google’s available privacy and advertising controls. Blocking measurement technologies may reduce analytics collection but should not prevent access to the site’s public event information. Authorized Google users can review or revoke third-party account access through their Google Account security settings.
